This work is directly influenced by graffiti and collages one sees as flyers are torn off of walls advertising shows and events. I walk the city I live in and get ideas or inspiration from the various things I see plastered on the walls from neighborhood to neighborhood. I hope one feels a familiar with the work, a slight deja vu perhaps, or a sense that this could be a familiar. The mediums I work with, transmit a directness and energy that bests expresses what I'm wanting to get across, and the surfaces as well, a history I can build up and feel confident about.
