Yves Portenier began his artistic work at the age of 15. Although primarily self-taught, he attended at this time, Ferruccio Garopesani workshop in Freiburg and tries to various painting techniques. The events of life bring him back to the first mission in 2006 where he resumed gradually drawing and brushes. Still in a self-taught and intuitive approach, it is surrounded by the presence of artists such as Mireille Mercanton or recently Gilbert Wolfisberg to further his work and artistic research. Today, his work focuses on a search for dialogue through the composition and colors. Alongside his own work, Yves was involved in teaching drawing, painting and language forms and compositions at The Artquarium in Geneva.
