"the beginning of the tweeter/umbrella wars/SOLD" Fine Art Print

Came back to art after of number of years. I have a BFA in fine art with emphasis on drawing and ceramic sculpture.Artist Statement 2008I am a collector. I collect things, old things, found things and used things, odd things, creepy things, and unloved things. I collect pictures, ideas, visuals and mental "things" which appeal to my dark cynical side, and use all of these collections in my work. I take the unwanted, unloved, broken things and put them together into new objects, these are my assemblages and shrines. I paint and draw in much the same way I assemble but instead, take old pictures, articles, and ephemera, then reassemble them into something visually interesting but different from the original purpose. I like to indulge my slightly dark visual side by creating creatures that could be, or might have been, working towards an end which juxtaposes an idea against an image.
