. L .Azzouzi, né à Batna, en Algérie, a commencé à peindre «sérieusement» à l'âge de seize ans. En 1989, il a étudié à l'École des beaux-arts de sa ville natale pour acquérir les compétences nécessaires à son développement artistique. A partir de 1995, il adopte une facture hyperréaliste et devient l'un des rares représentants de ce mouvement artistique en Algérie. Azzouzi est lauréat de plusieurs prix. En 1994, il a reçu le prix de la meilleure peinture murale à Batna et en 2007 celui de la meilleure peinture dans la capitale des Aurès toujours. Il a même créé des costumes pour une pièce de théâtre à Batna. A la différence du figuratif simple, l'imagination, est un élément très important dans le travail de Azzouzi. Il s'avère être, en fait, un coloriste talentueux. La lumière si caractéristique de l’Algérie, il l’exploite d'une manière très personnelle
