Light, water, sky and sand melting into one another as the waves swell and recede. The incredible colours of the waters around Luskentyre on the Isle of Harris make this an image that is all about sensation and emotion. This is a single image made in the camera using subtle movements as I take the picture. As I make these abstract landscapes I have an idea of how the image should look but each time the results are exciting and new. In my new 2017 Hebridean Collection, I am drawn to the fabulous aqua colour of the water around the Isle of Harris and I love to bring out this fresh, calming atmosphere in my picture. Available in other sizes and on paper. About My Work I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, light textured Canson Canvas and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image. About My Materials People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special. Other Sizes This print is available in other sizes on canvas or paper. I am happy to take custom orders, just drop me a line. Framing Options I work with professional framers in the UK and the US. If you would like a quote please let me know. A Note on Canvases Canvases are unframed and unmounted, they need to be stretched or framed once you get them. They are matte varnished and come with 1.5 inch (4cm) gallery wrap or with white or dark coloured sides, just let me know which you prefer. Once ready, they are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery. All taxes and duties to be paid by the receiver. Thanks for looking, if you have any questions just let me know.

The term "limited edition" has various meanings depending upon the artist, publisher, distributor and seller (or reseller). Saatchi Art uses the term "limited edition prints" to denote two dimensional art prints available through a pre-publication license agreement between the artist and Saatchi Art and sold pursuant to an exclusive prints publication arrangement.
This exclusive arrangement with the artist establishes a total maximum number of prints based on a single original high resolution digital image of a specific work of art created by the artist for limited and exclusive reproduction based on different paper type and/or dimension of the print. Certain information about the limited edition print and sale will be provided to buyers in a Certificate of Authenticity which is included with the purchase of each limited edition print through Limited by Saatchi Art. Saatchi Art is selling "limited edition prints" in compliance with the standards of disclosure established by California law regulating the sale of limited edition art prints. The image for any limited edition print may, in certain circumstances, be licensed by the artist for reproduction on other consumer products, such as phone cases, apparel and other home décor accents (but excluding two dimensional art prints).
California law provides for disclosure in writing of information concerning certain fine prints, photographs, and sculptures prior to effecting a sale of them. This law requires disclosure of such matters as the identity of the artist, the artist’s signature, the medium, whether the multiple is a reproduction, the time when the multiple was produced, use of the plate which produced the multiple, and the number of multiples in a "limited edition." If a prospective purchaser so requests, the information shall be transmitted to him or her prior to payment, or the placing of an order for a multiple. If payment is made by a purchaser prior to delivery of the multiple, this information will be supplied at the time of or prior to delivery, in which case the purchaser is entitled to a refund if, for reasons related to the matters contained in such information, he or she returns the multiple in the condition in which it was received, within 30 days of receiving it. In addition, if after payment and delivery, it is ascertained that the information provided is incorrect, the purchaser may be entitled to certain remedies, including a refund upon return of the multiple in the condition in which it was received.
Buyers of limited edition prints are entitled to a Certificate of Authenticity upon request prior to placing a limited edition print order online, or at the time of or prior to delivery of the limited edition print. Every limited edition print sold through Limited by Saatchi Art comes with a Certificate of Authenticity which includes a certification that the "information and statements contained therein are true and correct."
Saatchi Art is the exclusive distributor of limited edition art prints available for sale on Limited by Saatchi Art. In certain circumstances, the artist of a work available as a limited edition art print on Limited by Saatchi Art may license the image of the subject work for reproduction related to the sale of other consumer products, such as phone cases, apparel and other home décor accents (but excluding two dimensional art prints). The manner and consumer goods on which the image is reproduced are at the discretion of the artist, but the artist is precluded from permitting the subject work to be made available for reproduction on two dimensional art prints other than limited edition prints available for purchase on Limited by Saatchi Art.
A limited edition print that recites the number 2/25 means that the buyer is purchasing the second published print in a maximum print edition of 25 total prints (plus any proofs) of a specified size and dimension based upon a high resolution digital image of the artist’s original work of art. The Certificate of Authenticity tells the buyer if more than one edition has been published from the original image. For example, a print numbered 2/25 in a limited edition of 25 could be sold measuring 12" x 24" and another print numbered 2/15 in a limited edition of 15 could be sold measuring 24" x 36". The Certificate of Authenticity in that example would show that the total number is 40 prints (plus any proofs).
I live on top of a cliff on the Isle of Skye in the far north of Scotland; a place of inspiration, myth and legend. The colours all around fascinate me and here I find my heart can roam wild like the deer, otters, eagles and blackface sheep that surround me. The landscape on Skye is a patchwork of colours and textures like the Scottish plaids, sometimes warm browns, mauves and moss green, sometimes blue and cloudy. It is a place with a spirit, an endless palette of colours changing with the season, the weather and the time of day. In all kinds of weather, I am to be found on a clifftop or by the beach with my camera. More recently, I have begun painting in a variety of mediums and I currently accept commissions for paintings. My paintings are largely abstract fluid art pieces some of which are available as limited edition fine art prints and ready to hang canvases. My love of art began early; pencils and paints were an important part of my childhood along with stories of legendary heroes and fairytale castles. I am unashamedly romantic. When I was little my father took me to art galleries where I developed a love for colour and movement;Turner, Degas, and Monet were firm favourites. I trained and worked many years as a scientist while I continued to explore many different art forms. When I discovered long exposure photography and how it captures the subtle magic of early dawn light I was hooked. Here was a way for me to capture the beauty of light and the myriad of colours it creates and make them my own. I paint what I see with my camera working instinctively as the light and my mood changes. Over the past few years as I honed my craft I realised that there are very few women landscape photographers and perhaps this means that our vision of the world will offer something new, something exciting. I certainly hope so. Like Georgia O'Keeffe in the 1920s and 30s, my work ranges from abstract and macro images of flowers to huge vistas of landscape and, like Georgia, I like to focus on line, harmony and colour.
