I create from my intuition and love of beauty, from a sense of curiosity and reverence for touching the elegance of nature and flows of life. I experiment in different areas of artistic expression. I create abstract paintings using acrylic, oil, and inks. An idea will be with me for a while and at a certain point it is ready to come into physical form on canvas, board, or paper, or sometimes on an innocent by-standing wall in the house. I create scenes in photography, having spent many hours "walking alone without purpose" with a camera over my shoulder - which I learned to love even though a bit heavy - and a water bottle, in the woods, on beaches, following trails, wandering off-trail, hiking in the mountains, through streams, into grassy fields, and sometimes on city streets. I create digital paintings from my photographs and other elements of digital art, and sometimes with photos of elements of my abstract paintings, to express a type of beauty that for me goes beyond this physical world. I am also a jewelry maker, dancer, and yoga teacher. I create web sites and work with people and animals to nurture the harmony and unspoken language of love.
