This photograph was taken at Bear Lake, Colorado. My family was walking around the lake, and I was just gravitated toward the bright yellow flowers. They are not fancy, but they were just perfect at the lake and seemed to complete the scenery. I wonder how many people paid attention to these little ...

A South Korean resident until the age of 15, I moved to the US for education. Transitioning alone to a new country, new culture, and new language at such a young age was challenging, but my dream never changed regardless of my circumstances. I always dreamed of becoming an art educator since I was a little girl. After earning three art degrees in college, I worked in the college marketing department. Then, I started my own freelance art business which allowed me to stay at home to raise my two boys. After my children were ready for school, I took steps to pursue that childhood dream and became a high school art teacher. It brings me a lot of joy to teach others about art, but I stay a practicing artist not to lose the first love for art. I see people connecting, feeling, exploring, imagining, and comforted through art in their lives. When I see the world, I see how anything can be turned into art and how art makes the world better. The possibilities of creating art are endless, and the joy that art can bring people is limitless. My desire is to connect with others and share joy through what I create.
