About The Artwork

Taken at the Barbican Centre in London in 2018. A traveller takes a moment of pause on her journey, perhaps to check if she is heading in the right direction. I waited at this spot for thirty minutes for the right person to wander through. I was drawn to it by the natural light and symmetry that the concrete environment provided. Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® paper, which is one of the world’s most popular papers. It's known for its wonderfully soft feel and lightly defined felt structure. This paper produces outstanding prints that feature brilliant colours, deep blacks, striking contrasts and perfect reproduction of detail. This artwork will be shipped securely in a tube, it does not come framed.

Hailing from a suburb of a small city in Ireland, Evan is a self taught photographer with a particular interest in shooting architecture and people. Two photographers that heavily influence Evan are Dave Heath, known for his ability to capture people in moments of deep thought and solitude, and Daniel Arnold, a distinguished New York, street photographer whose work is available to see on Instagram. Evan shoots currently with a mirrorless, digital camera. The compact nature of this medium allows for him to be inconspicuous while shooting in public. Evan works in the camera department on Film and TV productions, most of his photography is done not at home but on his travels abroad.
