I took this photo in the summer of 1987 near the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. This man's small son lost his ball in the fountain. It was in the middle, and he was trying hard to retrieve it. I shot this photograph with a Canon AE-1 with Kodakchrome 64 color slide film.

I became fascinated with photography in the ninth grade. My high school had a darkroom, and I spent many dozens of hours developing my black and white film and making my own prints. When shooting in color, I used Kodachrome 64. Later, I lived on the east coast and in 6 different countries in Europe where I had many opportunities to shoot in interesting places. My cameras of choice were a Canon AE-1 and a Rolleiflex medium format. I now use digital cameras and do mostly street photography and am attracted to unusual situations and vibrant color. I have won several awards for my photography, and my work has appeared in regional publications.
