ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A view of the Shard from the Millennium Bridge at night. This series 'Night for Day' exploits the positive/negative nature of the photographic image. Having worked with film for most of my photography career, I'm used to seeing the negative of an image as well as the positive and I see the negative as the true image, the origin. The series title is a reversal of the film making technique 'Day for Night' which simulates a night scene but is actually filmed during the day.
