My mother ate lamb embryos for her health, and they were fertilized, leading to her pregnancy with me. I absorbed them through the umbilical cord. Ana Cobos (Bogotá, Colombia) is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work flows between textile art, sculpture, drawing, analog photography, and painting. Deeply connected to nature and ancestral knowledge, her practice explores the inner landscapes of the human soul through organic materials and symbolic gestures. Guided by intuition, she creates delicate and evocative works using media such as crayons, pencil, watercolor, oil, and acrylic. Her process is rooted in slowness, presence, and sensitivity—each piece arising as a quiet offering shaped by dreams, memories, and emotions. Ana often dyes natural fibers with plants she gathers herself, weaving them into contemplative forms that evoke rest, release, and spiritual grounding. Her artistic language brings together textures, lines, and elemental rhythms to create poetic encounters between matter and spirit. Dreams are a vital source of imagery in her work, where the inner world becomes a compass for artistic creation. Through her art, Ana invites viewers into a space of stillness and reconnection—with themselves, with nature, and with the unseen. Dreams. Nature. Thread. Line. Fiber. Color. Silence. Touch. Crayon.
