Somewhere in between documenting and storytelling. Polish-born photographer (1984) focused on fine art projects centred around a minimal aesthetic. Following a fascination with urban settings, Bednarski constructs his compositions carefully, often investigating people’s relationship with their surroundings. His candid, environmental scenes blur the line between documenting and storytelling and revolve around a nostalgic feeling. Krzysztof spent his younger years photographing his surroundings which ignited his interest in the visual arts. He later shifted into design and animation where as an art and creative director he provided visual and conceptual solutions to brands and agencies. These experiences have also influenced the technical aspect of his photography. The incorporated post processing techniques, mostly concentrating on the use of colour and painterly tonal range, serve to provide a distinctive feel to the captured moments. Bednarski’s work has been recognised at photography competitions such as International Photography Awards (IPA), Annual Photography Awards (APA), dotArt Urban Photo Awards and San Francisco Street Foto.
