PRINT DESCRIPTION --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Shades" The louvered treatments are so filled with light and shadow we experience the window’s fabrication. Its slight curvature adds interest and keeps the perspective alive. This material is the foundation of the image and composition is dependent on this reference. From there we succumb to its draw. This layering of compartments, this altering of material in glass and structure and variegated lines, all converging on each other, suggests an almost preternatural passageway secretly discovered here by chance. The subtle middle lower panel isolates a rail trailing away inside, as if to reveal a meeting place, and its curvature contrasts the larger one defined by the exterior frame. It is in these curves and their implied movement, reinforced by square panels following in the same line that the space is defined. It is also in the distortion of the window by the fabric’s filtering of the light that we catch a glimpse of this visceral magic playing out. This means I will produce only 15 original signed prints f this image regardless of size. This print will include an 1 1/2" border that will be signed & numbered. Comes with a signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity. This image will be printed using archival inks and Moab Entrada Bright Rag Fine Art Paper. This paper is 290gsm 100% Cotton, Bright White, & Acid Free.
