Steven Greenbaum is a Fine Art photographer living in Aventura, Florida. He shoots landscapes, abstracts, street, architecture, animals - whatever he finds a connection with. His photographs are color, monochrome and infrared depending on inspiration and light quality. After capturing an image in the field, Steven continues his creative process by visualizing what the image could become, often diverging from the original concept at capture. So the post-processing continues as an adventure in imagination. Sometimes the image becomes a ‘straight’ photograph with only basic exposure edits. Others become explorations involving adding textures, digitally painting watercolor backgrounds, compositing or blending different images, experimenting with different blending modes, color lookup tables and luminosity masks. At times alternative approaches come to mind and several treatments are done. This often results in a difficult choice as to which is the ‘final’ result. Steven has received numerous awards and has been published in Photo District News, Black and White Magazine and The Nikonians.
