This unique painting is an industrial style piece featuring a photo I took of a water pumping station. I tried to somehow integrate the frame into the photo by building it from pipes, fittings, a tap from the 40s and two old pressure gauges. The integrated vintage bulb puts the photo in a perfect light, giving a warm atmosphere. The photo is printed on canvas and pasted on a wooden board and then it was given a protective varnish. The print on canvas is 79x50cm in size and with the frame it reaches approx. 122x92cm and weighs 20 kg.

My name is Cristian Lipovan, I was born in Gherla, Romania, in 1982. The passion for photography started back 14 years ago when I bought my first DSLR camera, followed by a photo class in Cluj-Napoca. I like to approach different styles of photography, but I prefer the most URBEX (Urban Exploration) photography. I think this genre represents me the best, that`s why I`m even more concerned with my project called PLACES SUFFERING. Various media appearances: National Geographic Romania, Discovery Romania, The Sun UK, Daily Mail UK, BFMTV FR, Yahoo News France, Russian Photo Magazine, Graine De Photographe FR, Pro TV Romania, TVR Romania, plus in dozens of other online newspapers around the world.
