I'm a london-based artist shooting on 35mm or 4x5 inch film. The editions I offer are therefore all hand-filtered prints from c-41 negs without any digital processes involved. My interest and curiosity as a person and artist are stimulated by observing 'traces of the human'. These can either be relics of daily life perceived as banal and easily overlooked, or more conspicuous intrusions we forced upon our natural environment. These traces can be very poetic and fascinating if we take the time to really look at them - it is another way of marvelling at our complex cultures and identities. That is, pausing for a bit and reflecting on the absurdity and the beauty or ugliness of what we surround ourselves with, who we are, what we are doing and what we are up to.
