Turing Code (Alan Turing Portrait) This artwork is a collage of equations, binary code, Fibonacci numbers and pattern formations based on his experimental work on the Chemical Basis of Morphogenesis plus notes from Alan Turing's life.* This particular edition includes an abstracted, dot-matrix style, rainbow coloured, British Union flag. Originally created and released as a limited edition several years back. This version has been updated, reworked and released as a one off signed edition. The Alan Turing collection was the inspiration for my (still ongoing) Fibonacci Series of artworks. Offered as a large 30 inch square Monoprint so that collectors have the opportunity to buy work from 'The Great Reset' 10101 Collection. This Artwork was originally going to be part of the #2020Vision Retrospective Exhibition. Turing is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence. Turing was prosecuted for homosexuality in 1952, when such acts were still criminalised in the UK. He accepted treatment with oestrogen injections (chemical castration) as an alternative to prison. Turing died in 1954, 16 days before his 42nd birthday, from cyanide poisoning. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown made an official public apology on behalf of the British government.
