Angelo Cagidimitriu was born in Athens. In the ’60s, he spent two years in London and Cambridge to study English and drawing techniques. He was in Strasbourg (France) at the Ecole des Beaux Arts for a year, Graz (Austria) at the Technische Hochschule for three years and Munich (Germany) to study French and German, trade antiquities and fulfilling his interests in artworks, mainly sculpture and drawing. In the ’70ies he studied architecture at the University of Florence (Italy) where he lived for thirteen consecutive years. During his studies he has traded antiquities and jewels. In the ’80ies, he moved back to Athens and started a creative activity that lasted 20 years which consisted on the design, production and trading of jewels. Ten craftsmen worked in his workshop for the production of jewelry and the retail store was located in Kolonaki, one of the most exclusive commercial boroughs of Athens. Moreover, the jewels were sold to the shops located all around Greece, such as in Mykonos, Santorini, Thessaloniki, Crete, Rodhes, Delphi, etc. With the start of the Millennium, Angelo moved to Galaxidi (Greece) right under Delphi, famous for its sailing boats and the place of his origins, where he works on sculptures made of reclaimed materials such as stone, wood and iron.
