Although this was initially inspired by a Van Gogh painting of a cherry orchard, it's really based on the orchard that my parents farmed for over 50 years. I've been working with glass for over 20 years in my studio in British Columbia, Canada. My eyesight is such that I like to be close to a piece as I'm creating it, so I spend a lot of time hovering over my workspace. For the same reason, I suppose, I like to work with tiny pieces of glass, which I then fuse together. I use my Facebook page, to share the process of creating my art, because I think fused glass is still a mystery to a lot of people. I'm having trouble uploading photos to Saatchi Art, so let me know via my Facebook page if you'd like to see more views of any of my art.
