I have recently completed an Advanced Diploma in Art and Creativity from the Wellington art school, The Learning Connexion. My exploration has been with dacron and thread projecting on to film. Film is a medium but also a mechanical tool so the medium itself is critiqued, whereby it seeks to cut narrative, the filmic illusion and explore the process. I have continued to work with camera producing photographic stills. The photographs respond to the conventions of drawing so that both photograph and drawing are viewed as indexical signs: we can see how both are made. My work in 3D is also exploring the effects of dacron having arrived at 3D as an operation not a sculpture.
