About The Artwork

s a result of the increase in global warming, the coastal areas of the world are flooded every year due to the increase in the sea level. The selection of the subject matter was taken from the life struggle of the people of Sundarban area of Greater Khulna. Thieves in time with the ardent biological urge to survive that we as Earth creatures are trapped in. To connect this desperate heart feeling through installation art, with people, with the world, we have floated many plots of woodcuts that tell the story of flooded areas. I wanted to understand the beliefs, myths, and rituals associated with the life of the people of this land, and the source of the repetition of the same struggle every year during the flood. As an endless refuge in the process of self-realization, I have returned again and again to the source of the inheritance of the people of this land. To the feeling of a heart that has become as heavy as the age of the earth.
