I stopped painting and sculpting after my visit to Louvre. What’s the point? I thought, the perfection has been already achieved. But even Rodin and Michal Angelo, I concluded, could only reflect what they had in the head and heart. They could not see the world the way I see it; no one can reflect my emotions. So I have found the place for myself anew and I never left the art again. This attitude placed my work in many Canadian, Polish and US galleries. I feel a surge of elation every time someone buys my work for a private home, and this has become surprisingly common through sites like , but it is the daily experience of meeting people in my studio and gallery in Kailua, Hawaii that maintains my desire to work. I made a long series of bronze humanoid sculptures, painted portraits and fired clay abstracts. In my view, the choice of material is secondary, it is merely in the service of reaching the viewer, projecting to him or her my joy, pain or anger. My ideas or emotions are the real contents of the piece of art I display, they are unique because I am a unique human being with the unrepeatable point of views. The most fundamental part of my art happens long before I put my hands into clay or take a brush, it has already occurred in my head. The physical act of creation will follow uncovering for the viewer my very special thoughts.
