ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The sculpture was created under the inspiration of the sacred art of alchemy and mysticism. At the heart of the sculpture is an object resembling an egg. First of all, the egg symbolizes the birth of life. On three sides of the egg, recesses in the form of keyholes are carved, which symbolize various variations of the future. Our life consists of the eternal need to make this or that choice, whether it be the choice of food, road, clothing, or the choice between life and death. The need to choose can both give us pleasure and lead to stress. In life, the winner is the one who knows how to make the maximum number of correct choices ... The sculpture is made of wood. The wooden oval is covered with a transparent varnish, which emphasizes the texture of natural wood. And the recesses in the form of keyholes and the stand are tinted in black.
