Since my early childhood I have been attracted by painting, particulary by the Orthodox icons on glass realized by Romanian artists, asking myself the question: „How could they be arhieved?”. During my adolescence I tried to take photos, following all the stages and rules to get a photo of quality, considering the photography as a mystery – a thing I belive it now, too. After so many years of practice and attempts. Now I have tried to combine painting on glass and photography. Todey youll watch these images called by me „ Photography on glass”. If in case of painting on glass that is achieved by the artistt hand, in my case„ Photography on glass” is the work of nature, I only catch on the on the celluloid film these fantastic images that seen to come from another world. A word moving continuosly and at the same time full of color and gracefulness. Through the works presented I demonstrated that both painting and photograhy are good friends, completing each other and they are not in competition or conflict, however photography is recognized as begin the newest art. Photos presented are a combination between the divine sun- by the light it spreads and the blessed water. Youll discover that the things surrounding us arent what they seem to be- lacking life, amorphous and inactive- but full of movement and energy. Youll discover that the light isnt white so as we perceive it, but so as the scientists stated -as being composed of more colors – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. That wat youll see will delight you but at the same time will make you think. Many of you will remind about your own childhood where all of us have the most beautiful and innocent fairy-stories, forgetting about this cruel and merciless word. From a technical point of view the photos were achieved at different times of the day, without using artificial sorces of light, at temperatures of -20, -30 C. I used optical devices of small dimensions for a better mobility and manoeuvering. As objective I had the macro and normal objective, Konica and Fuji films of sensibility (ISO)200 or 400 and trasposition on paper of 2030 and 3040 dimensios of Fuji and Kodak make.
