I’m Korean American living in Texas, United States over 30 years. I’ve been working in education field over 18 years, and taught art from Elementary students to College level. I’m a passionate art teacher but at the same time an artist who wants to continue learn and grow professionally.
I have used various medium such as oil, watercolor, pastel, mixed medium, and charcoal to create art in the past but I mainly like to work with acrylic paints last several years.
Although I’m having a happy life now, I had a lot of difficult times in my life before. And I used the blue scheme for representing my grief emotions in my paintings for a long time. So I’ve had “Blue period” just like Picasso. Because art is expression of inner self, it’s still hard to avoid using my favorite color Blue. Blue, especially cobalt blue is more than just color in my abstract paintings.
My style of painting has changed from realism to surrealism to now abstract and semi abstract.
