Rafael Maestro Lozano

He was born in Madrid but very soon he moved to live in the province of Alicante, currently
He lives and has his studio in Torrevieja.
He has won various awards such as: Alicante City Council Artists Award or Plastic Arts Award
of the Provincial Council of Alicante. In 1992-1993 he was a finalist in the Contest for Fellows of the Royal Academy of
Fine Arts of Spain in Rome, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, General Directorate of Cultural Relations
and Scientific and Royal Academy of San Fernando. In 1994 he participated as a teacher in the European Program
Horizon in the exchange of professionals between Spain and the United Kingdom. He has recently been the creator
and coordinator of the cycles of Art and Environment for Aguas de Alicante and also Coordinator of the
Cycles Voices from Art for the University of Alicante based in Torrevieja. In 2008 he is selected
to participate in the Exhibition "20 Contemporary Spanish Artists" held at the Eusebiuskerk Cathedral
