Andrew Lucas

​I was born in the city of Salisbury in Wiltshire, England. From an early age, art and drawing had always been in the forefront of interest for me and through into adulthood turned into the passion it is for me today. When I began to show an interest in painting in my teens, I began learning and self teaching the skills and techniques needed to produce paintings. Through the early years of success and failure, I managed to reach the standard of portfolio I have today. I have worked in all mediums, but found early on that watercolours were the most expressive medium for me, and so majority of my work is centered around it. In 2003 I relocated to Torquay, Devon where I still work from my studio today. I have exhibited many times and am planning future exhibitions through my constant working on new paintings and collections. I also enjoy commissioned work and the exciting and varied challenges they bring in their own right. By sharing my art, I hope to evoke real emotion for the audience and offer a real sense of passion through the work I produce, I hope you enjoy your visit.
