Ralph Benedict is a ceramic artist whose work is about conflict. Benedict emphasises the latent violence inherent in the struggle between opposites while allowing a disconcerting beauty to emerge. By incorporating disparate qualities in his work through the use of color texture and form he seduces the viewer into a world of ongoing equilibrium between order and chaos.
