Ramon Schalkx

All his life he has had a strong love for making sculptures. Ramon Schalkx (1981) is a self-taught artist and always strives for absolute balance, movement and energy in his sculptures. He likes to be surprised by the (im)possibilities of the materials and often goes to the extreme. He uses unconventional ways where necessary to achieve maximum results.

His sculptures vary from harmonious abstract to layered figurative. Ramon loves creating free work as well as creating a completely custom sculpture for a special location or occasion. He currently works in bronze and stone and combinations of these materials.
