Pinar Ceylan

was born in İstanbul(Turkey) 1983, have been living and working in İstanbul.Pinar Ceylan’s paintings are created with random scribbling and doodling which make her works free, irregular and without the anxiety of the forms. She paints non-figurative images with drawing on surface, erasing, scratching techniques and different painting applications.
In her paintings, we see geometric abstraction of nature. For abstract studies about sky, she collaged abstract clouds, rainbow, sky, green fields in the pictures with triangular forms of canvasses chassis in various thickness i.e. thin and thick chassis canvasses.She used mixed technique for these abstract landscape works on canvas and considered chassis in geometric forms as an integral part of the painting. Traditionally pictures actually painted using standard geometric rectangular or square canvasses.
She is influenced by artists who worked with different forms in art history. By establishing connections with her abstract paintings and theirs, she continues her work accordingly. We can see different forms in the 13th century icon paintings and renaissance paintings such as Cenni di Pepe Giotto di Bondoneö, Fra Angelico and different dimensions in the 70s Ellsworth Kelly, Kenneth ...

2013- She is studying Phd in Yeditepe University,Also she is working as a research assistant.
2010- Gradueted Master degree at Yeditepe University Fine Art Faculty
2009 - (UPSD) is a member of the International Association of Plastic Arts.
