Ruth Canning

I am a London-based artist and interior designer. Starting in 2003, I’ve expanded my repertoire to include not just interiors and 3D spaces, but also print making and other media. To produce my monotypes, I use a cast iron Rochat press and I love the way that each image is different - it is this uniqueness that makes them so beautiful. The monotype process imposes artistic constraints on the materials and techniques you can use, so as an artist I have to stretch my creativity. That is why each print is an exciting adventure.
