Drew Reese

I am a Landscape Photographer living in Santa Fe, NM.I use double exposures, slow shutter speeds and intentional camera motion as part of my photographic process. I'm guided by my intuition and the element of pure chance. This allows me the freedom a painter has, to see what's before me, but to interpret the image in my own unique vision. I virtually 'paint' with my camera. I love this way of working. It's very challenging, but also very rewarding. I'm never quite sure what I'm going to end up with until I view the images on my computer.
I archival print my photographs on an Epson P800 printer using Canson Infinity Rag Photographique Paper 210gsm. Each print is Signed and Numbered with a Certificate of Authenticity. My images are 16x20 with editions of 5. If you see an image you like but would like it larger or printed on aluminum, that can be accomplished. If you see an image on Instagram@reflex 760 you like, we can bring it in to Saatchi.

Primarily a self-taught photographer, he also took photography classes at San Francisco State and UC Berkeley. He learned a great deal from his teachers, but also spent a great deal of time looking at the great photographers as well. His early influences ranged from Ansel Adams to Richard Misrach and William Eggleston among many others. He never stops looking at art in all its forms. He finds it has a great stimulating influence on his own work.

Exhibited in the ACE group exhibitions at The Palm Springs Art Museum, The OCCA in Orange County and Norco College in Southern California. Showed at JTAG Joshua Tree Art Gallery for 7 years. Featured in the September 2022 issue of ICM Photography Magazine. Featured by ICM Artists on Instagram. Recently featured in Spectaculum Online Magazine and Edge of Humanity Online Magazine. Recently, he won a Juror's Award for 'Winter Music' with Exposure Photo Gallery.
