I am a mexican fashion photographer with interest in landscape born in Monterrey, Mexico in 1990. I spent my childhood in Monterrey, Mexico City and Barcelona, Spain.
From an early age I was attracted to several artistic expressions to later find my place in photography.
I hold a graduate degree in nuclear physics from University of British Columbia but decided to leave my scientific endeavours to be full time at my advertising agency Black Art Studio as general/creative director and photographer in my project Región Más Transparente.
My photographic work is divided into three sections:
Fashion and portrait, where plenty of my commercial work is focused, often doing collaborations with other artists and fashion designers.
Art, where I photograph the work of painters, sculptors, architects, art galleries and auction houses for catalogs, exhibitions and publications.
Landscape, my most personal approach to photography through the Mexico series, which aims to continue the legacy of great photographers such as Juan Rulfo, Armando Salas Portugal, Eugenio Espino Barros, Hugo Brehme, Guillermo Kahlo, Sebastião Salgado, among others to finish the national visual collection of pre-hispanic landscape and architecture, travelin...
I hold a graduate degree in nuclear physics from the University of British Columbia and have collaborated with various scientific institutions such as the National Institute for Nuclear Research in Mexico, National University (UNAM) Institute of Physics, TRIUMF Canada’s Particle Accelerator Center and the Large Hadron Collider LHC in Geneva, Switzerland.
Parallel to my scientific training, I entered the world of photography starting self-taught and then as first assistant to various photographers such as Vince Hemingson and production companies in Vancouver and New York.
