Alexander Remizov

My life is connected with Moscow - the capital of Russia. In the old town where I was born and live now, there are many art museums and galleries. From birth I was surrounded by art, and my parents also collected paintings.
I graduated from the Moscow College of Arts and entered the Moscow Architectural Institute (Academy of Architecture), which I graduated in 1983. Outstanding architects and artists such as Alexey Dushkin (1904 - 1977) and Andrei Vasnetsov (1924-2009) were my teachers.
I started participating in art exhibitions since 1988. Then I became a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. I worked on the interior decoration of the building of the Russian Embassy in Germany, the building of the State Tretyakov Gallery and the administrative buildings. In parallel, I was doing easel painting. My paintings are in museums in Russia and in private collections.
In my artwork, I draw inspiration from emotions. To convey them is the artist's task. My paintings are associated with architecture, people and the surrounding space, which inspire me. A piece of art, as a metaphor in the material, conveys my emotions to the audience.
