Building the space of an image, out of the simplified, symbolic or geometric elements, as well as the depicting elements, is for me the pursuit of extending the form of artistic narration and moving the limit of perception.
In paintings created in this manner, the first elements distort the clear-cut and unambiguous character of depicting elements, at the same time becoming a part of the opposite process: the process of releasing and giving the abstraction a sense of reality.
One reality becomes a commentary to the other one.
The tensions between incoherent values widen the space for their interpretation, provoking to search for various solutions. What appears then is the absurd and ambiguity.
Essencial is the moment of searching, discovering a new fragment out of the image’s reality or at least a hunch of its presence.
Regardless of the final shape, there is something cheerful for me as an artist, a promise of unlimited space openning in front of me.
