Sameer Sirkhoth

Ever since childhood I was fascinated by the artistry, precision and beauty of the natural world. Paintings and drawings would always captivate me when viewing them in galleries and books.
It was at the age of 12 that I had a sudden urge to create works . As I matured as an artist, I began to explore different subject matter and mediums. I began to paint flowers with water colours and oil pastels and eventually started to explore my ultimate passion; landscape painting. At the age of 16 a calendar was produced at the high school which depicted my paintings. I am currently focusing on representational painting as well as calligraphy. My forte is oil on canvas and I see a strong possibility to create very high end ceramic artworks for marketing along-side my paintings to specific clients and at exhibitions.

The highlights of my relevant expertise include a Fine Arts Degree through the University of Cape Town, as well as 5 years of work experience in paper and book conservation at the Parliament of South Africa

After graduation, one of my paintings was chosen to represent UCT at the AVA (Association of Visual artists) in an exhibition which showcases the top final year work of students from various Fine Art institutions.
