I am a 48 year kiwi male living in my home town of Kaikoura, New Zealand. A dedicated artist for approximately 20 years, I have my own particular vision as to what makes great art. Cornerstone design principles include rhythm, contract, balance, irony, vibrancy, honesty, originality, diversity, cool and most importantly of all, love.,
Photography based and edited on computer, my works are expressive of my identity. Also an educator in a previous life, I am passionate about constructivism, which holds close to the premise that the viewer will construct their own meaning of a piece of art thus a degree of plasticity in my work is seen as important.
Growing up on a farm and living in stunningly beautiful kaikoura, New Zealand, I find immense beauty in nature and often use it as subject matter. However being somewhat of a Pop artist, my subject matter varies very widely. All work endeavours to help me define and communicate a sense of wonder and beauty, passion, vibrancy and love.
