Rhodis Art

The Frisian artist Rhodis stands for wild expressionism and authenticity. I make what could be called surrealistic dreamscapes. My often colorful images and seemingly rough style jump to the eye but if you take a second look you will notice a strange delicacy as well. The drawings and paintings are made on wood, paper and canvas with pen, ink and (acryl) markers. Whatever I can find, I work with. A Rhodis contains so many details that one work can tell a thousand stories. My images work like a rollercoaster dragging one into a world of emotion, explosive and refined at the same time.
