John Richardson

I was born and raised in London UK and I have always been a keen portrait drawer,but I never really attempted any other medium until my mothers untimely death in 1999.That is what unfortunately inspired me. I thought? let me try another medium. So I tried pastel, which I found so interesting I moved to Oil. My first attempt was Yoko & John back in 2000 and I won first prize in a local exhibition! I actually painted this at a local art night school.
I now live in Dubai (UAE) where I paint and draw as an amateur on most weekends. I am self taught and never received any formal training. I have professionally worked as a figurine painter and sign writer in my early days which may have also inspired me.
I would like to enter some exhibitions here in the UAE but have yet to find any available as yet.
