I try to capture the miraculous beauty of things, or the bizarreness of same, with realism and expression sometimes punctuated with archetypal imagery.

This is my attempt at doing justice to both my internal artistic vision, and the realities of the immediate, contemporary world as it actually is.

As my paintings are archival oils, that may be around 100 years from now, I also try to interpret and record quickly evolving "Current History", as it unfolds in its own perpetual process of self creation.

Sometimes, I paint the big collective moments, but most often I want to interpret the poignant personal moments I witness around me. I utilize subtle irony, and a sense of the mysterious as I experience life far more as a multi-dimensional mystery, than as a clear flat statement.
