My love of photography came from my late father, who was a WWII P-38 re-con pilot. He flew numerous photographic missions over North Africa and Italy and was chosen to be the first allied pilot photographer photograph the invasion of Sicily in 1943.
During my childhood, Dad always had movie and "still" cameras around the house, which meant not only being a subject, but being allowed to "shoot" images myself.
After my retirement from school teaching in 2006, I decided to devote as much time as possible to my passion and have traveled the east coast of the United States photographing, landscapes, oceans, mountains, sea birds and historical locations.
At age 67, I have fallen in love again, only this time with a photographic technique, called High Dynamic Range, which allows me to explore a wide multitude of color, light and shadows.
I am currently working on two coffee table book ideas, one a fine art collection of HDR photographs, to be entitled, Hypnotic Light and Color and the other, entitled Random Acts of Satire, which will be a Lilliputian look at historical, political, religious and social satire. Examples of both subjects are my main focus on my home page.

I hold two Bachelor of Science Degrees from the University of Delaware and a Masters of Education from Salisbury, University located in Salisbury, MD.
My love of photography comes from my late father, Robert Scott Bleile and my formal training is courtesy of the U.S Army National Guard (1969-1976) and 50 years of self taught trial and error.
