Robert Stace

Born in London, I'm now based in the Scottish Borders. This is a fantastic and inspiring place, especially for landscape painting.

I graduated from Newcastle University and studied independently, learning a great deal from individual artists including Neil Meacher (watercolours) and Nick Schlee (landscape).
At present I 'm working mainly in acrylics - they have enormous versatility and expressive potential.
Watercolour is a firm favourite of mine - Edward Wesson and Edward Seago are key influences.
