About Ron Bambridge

Starting his career in a London Advertising Agency, Ron soon moved on to work freelance. 
In the intervening years Ron has established an international reputation and respect for his 'unique eye' creativity and excellence. 
Just some of his many awards include: Winner 'Best AOP Photographer' at the Association of Photography Open Awards for his 'Misty Morning Downtown Detroit'. London Photographic Awards Winner in the 'Environmental Series' for his shots of 'Bodie' a ghost town in California, Winner of the 'Environmental Colour Award' for his 'Barbers Chair' in Singapore and a GOLD Association of Photography award for his British Landscapes.   
Published in many Graphis Photo books (by selection only) his other published books include: a '100 Years Of Brooklands' published by Touchstone books, 'Detroit Downtown & Abandoned' a complete collection of his Detroit shots, exploring the abandoned areas and how they impacted on the city and the economic downturn. A two double-page spread of his Detroit work in the 'International Masters of Photography' (by selection only) published in California by World Wide Art Books
Ron's aim as a photographer is to create pictures that have strong content and composition, conveying a sense of the place and subject matter in the most dramatic way possible.


Received Gold Silver& Merit awards for People and Landscape in the Association of Photographers Awards. Winner in three categories in the London Photographic Awards, Environmental Series, Still Life Series & Environmental Series Colour.
Nominee in advertising & architectural, Black & White Spider Awards California
Winner Best Photography at the National Business Calendar Awards.
Landscape work has appeared in several Graphis books & the latest Detroit work published in the art magazine "Rooms".

Commissioned to photograph the Historic car and aviation collection at Brooklands in Surrey to celebrate 100 years of Brooklands, home of the first purpose built motor race track in the world.
Photographed entirely in Black & White, the complete work is now brought together in a major book published by Touchstone Books.
