Ross Reitzammer

Art was always my escape from a constantly changing environment. Born in the United States and then growing up in Mexico City, it was always hard to know what culture I fit in. Oddly enough, I began studying art at an early age and continued through my first year in college. Then I decided to switch to music education and studied music at the University of North Texas (At that time North Texas State University). I quickly learned that earning a living to support a family in music was going to be somewhat challenging. This was back in the '70s when the first personal computers were first emerging. I was fascinated with these amazing digital machines and learned to program. For forty years I've been a software engineer. Now at the age of retirement, I've decided to return to my roots in art, only this time exploring a mixture of drawing and painting digitally and then combining it with digital photography. I've just begun to experiment with these mediums and I hope to improve my craft over time. I hope, for everyone viewing these pieces, the experience is as enjoyable as it was creating them.
