Sam Bergwein

Sam Bergwein, born 1996 in Stuttgart, Germany, is a contemporary artist. His work is influenced by architecture, color compositions and nature. Sam´s creative journey began at a young age in his mother's studio when he studied her painting process and began experimenting with different materials. The realization that raw materials and creativity can result in something unique and beautiful inspired his passion for art.
Currently living and working in Stuttgart, Sam Bergwein finds inspiration in his surroundings and the diverse experiences that have shaped his artistic vision.
In his work, Sam deals with different states of consciousness and tries to transfer them visually onto the canvas. Each series is created through different emotional situations and phases of life, which he uses as a therapeutic tool in the creative process, focusing on abstract color compositions and impressive haptic surfaces. He uses his technical skills in multiple layers to achieve a harmonious and at the same time exciting result. He works mainly with tools such as palette knives, scrapers and sponges.
