Samia is a Bangladeshi-British photographer, born and raised in the heart of London. Her photography and writing has been published in the UK across national TV, radio and print media.
Samia's young life started off very difficult. After Samia's father passed away when she was only 5, her immediate families mental health started to rapidly deteriorate. She became the target of physical and mental abuse, whilst also being raised in sheer neglect and poverty. During this time, she was also a Young Carer to her immediate family. This lasted her whole childhood. At the age of 16, Samia became homeless in order to escape this life.
Simultaneously alongside her misfortune, Samia was very disciplined with her art, as creativity was her joy and escape, and she accomplished entry to the best art schools in the world and began working in the industry right away!
Samia is now a successful photographer with a studio in London. Focusing on the natural and urban world, her work explores the beauty and scarcity of life.
