Sam Nejati

My work expresses my interest about aura of humanity/virtues/psychological qualities within the context of spirituality that could be experienced as a direct expression of an existence through medium of paint.

Having been born and raised in East, but being a citizen of the world makes me to be interested in capturing virtues as well as a human aura throughout the process of creation. My paintings have innate sense of representation about the notion of ethereal within the context of the emotional state, virtues, memory, sound, smell, conversations, and actions.

Capturing the essence and virtues of existence at its core and bring it to being by confessing about them into a bare white canvas. Love, loss, memory, sorrow, drama are all attributes of the psychological state which constitutes the aura of being and humanness. Visualizing the radiations and renditions of virtues and existence, by translating these humanistic attributes into visual language in my painting process is what I intend to give birth to.
