Sarah Day-Short

I am an abstract acrylic painter and resin artist working with metal leaf. Color is the common thread in all my artwork. I am interested in the science behind color and light and its relationship to human moods and emotion. Each highly saturated color is used with intent and metallic elements are incorporated to reflect light. Most of my work is abstract with some design element layered on top. I enjoy creating tiny detail with metal leaf and playing with scale. I have works that range from 4"x4" to 72"x180"
