Sarah Heinamann

Sarah Heinamann is a contemporary artist and sculptor based in Cape Town, South Africa. Her work examines and combines the connection of the immaterial with the material. "My sculptures are infused with intention, and positive energy, and I hope they will bring joy, beauty and a sense of wonder to your daily life.”

Inspired by significant changes in her personal life, Sarah's first collection was a series of oversized bronze seedpods. By celebrating each seedpod's unique and beautiful natural form, she pays homage to the birth, life, and death cycle in nature and our own lives.

In her second collection, Sarah was inspired by her shamanic travels to Peru. She started building sacred totems, which to her represent the link between heaven and earth. Her totems range from small sacred coffee-table objects to powerful structures that stand two metres (80 inches) tall.
