Sarah Sweeney

Bear witness to the manic range of New york City artist S.S. Sweeney's artistic curiosity, running the gamut from noir-like fascination with the sensual and lurid and underground, to friction between high and low culture, to a kind of nostalgia for urban Americana. She explores responses from beautiful to bizarre, subversive to funny.

Sarah Sweeney attended both Parsons School of Design as well as the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

Her solo shows in New York City comprised of large scale 90's phone-sex ads and Bernhardt Goetz on canvas garnered her invites in to other esteemed group shows. These lead to a permanent display of velvet at the 63 Wall Street building in the Financial district of New York City.
